- Advising and supporting the specialist departments in all customs, import and export issues in international goods traffic
- Monitoring and implementation of customs, foreign trade and export control regulations as well as analysis and optimisation of the associated procedures, processes and required training courses
- Verification of customs tariff classification and determination/application for the correct customs tariff numbers, BAFA 0 notice, etc.
- Preparation and support of foreign trade audits
- Advising the specialist departments on the handling of goods subject to authorisation and supporting the project management/sales department in the classification of technologies subject to authorisation
- Administrative processing of all incoming goods incl. outgoing goods and returns with the internal and external departments involved in the process
- Preparation of shipping documents and packaging activities
- Direct communication with the customer and transport service providers
- Obtaining and evaluating freight offers
- Confident handling of forwarding and export documents
- Control of incoming goods, incl. warehouse booking
- Training in logistics, customs, economics or comparable vocational training is desirable (from the fields of wholesale and foreign trade, forwarding or logistics).
- Ideally, you also have a qualification in the field of customs clearance
- Work experience in export control, customs or logistics
- Knowledge of freight handling in sea, land and air transport
- Organisational skills with independent working style
- Quick comprehension and analytical way of thinking
- Confident knowledge of common MS Office programmes (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- You have an excellent command of written and spoken German and are business fluent in English
- Reliability, sense of responsibility, high diligence and commitment
- You are service- and consulting-oriented and have good communication skills
- You are responsible and cost-conscious
