Your tasks
- Operational work on customer orders to ensure process quality
- Carrying out work in metallography and various sample preparations (e.g. preparation of ground samples, embedding, grinding, polishing and etching)
- Carrying out material tests and examinations (e.g. tensile testing, hardness testing, microscopy and others)
- Preparing test and examination reports in German and English
- Optimisation and further development of test set-ups and methods
- Maintenance and servicing of the various technical devices
Your profile
- Training/studies as a materials and/or surface technician, metallurgist, physics laboratory technician or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on metals technology
- Experience with metallographic sample preparation techniques
- Experience with optical microscopy and mechanical testing methods is desirable
- Independent, careful and systematic way of working
- Professional handling of digital communication and MS Office products
- You are a team player, reliable and flexible
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
